Importantly, at all times I felt confident that my needs were being appropriately managed both effectively and efficiently with minimal fuss.
The team at DS Family Law were very friendly and understanding. Always prompt, punctual and helpful, as well as very professional. They guided and reassured my husband and I during the daunting and arduous court process. It gave us great confidence knowing that we were being represented by such a professional and well respected firm.
Ross Dunlop and Ds Family law are a disgrace to the community, the legal system and to themselves (though they would not be humble enough to self reflect)We have used this firm a few years back and told him how much our budget was. I think it was about 6k for a divorce settlement and some child custody issues. He said that it should be enough to sort the issue out. We are just working class and cant afford massive blow outs. Anyway first months bill came in at 4k. It came with a whole lot of crap written in legal form to sound to justify the bill but in reality it was 4k for nothing. Then came the next months bill for 3.5k with the same non-sense invoice. By this stage we were already over budget and with no sight of anything happening. The 3rd month comes around and low and behold another bill for 3k. All of these were being paid by the way as they came in. The final straw was our first sitting in court where Ross Dunlop had forgotten the case (went into court uninformed) and had to ring my partner while he was in court. This placed major stress on my partner because she was being forced to make impromptu answers on the spot without having any idea to contemplate the question let alone give an answer. I mean what is a lawyer for...to handle these issues (professionally). To go into court to represent your client and not be fully prepared says it all on his business both professionally and personally.There were tricks like in our first 4k bill. He would ring up my partner (after hours) and basically talk up the issue to seem more than it is. Then act the Councillor. My partner was in tears she was so upset but these phone calls are timed and charged at hundreds of dollars an hour. This one conversation had, where the topic was being exploited cost over 700 dollars. Its an after hours solution praying on the weak while people are down to inflate your end of week net income. A disgrace.To cut a long story short, all legal representation from this so called company was cut and a mutual agreement was made between the parties which was solved easily.The whole experience left me with a disgusting disgusting feeling on the legal system and how someone can prance and parade around at being a craftsman of his job and be so bad at it. I mean this guy gloated about how he drives a cheaper car around because of people keying and damaging his daily driver. Little did he tell me it was his own upset clients doing it!!This company did nothing but leach a working class family dry.And please dont reply with your generic 'please send us an email for resolution' It just shows how insulting you are to your customers. It was a few years ago...my money is gone and I'm good with it but I'll still leave a review seeing as I stumbled on your web site again.A shame google doesn't do negative star ratings.
This company is very false and misleading they tell you all the things you won't to hear yet take you down a path that will only lead you to paying much more than you were probably told at the beginning leaving you broke and getting know were they seem to be very good at it my advice stay way clear of DS Family Law there are plenty of other good Family Law companys in Mandurah and the surrounding areas
