Excellent experience for the whole family. Very informative, with knowledgeable staff doing a great job. If you want an inside into mining and what it does for the economy and the community this is the most enjoyable way to get it. 3hrs well spent. This is a great place to visit when you're visiting Pinjarra. Aluminum mining has been an important part of Pinjarra and its development into what it is now. A thriving community and lovely town with lots of history.

Very interesting place to visit and highly recommend to join their free tour which takes you to the Aluminum mine site and refinery.The tour is every Wednesday at 9.30 am and takes about 3 hours. Its a free bus tour organized by the company which drives you to the mine. Super interesting to see it as a tourist. I guess its a real Aussie out of the beaten track experience! You get to see all the machines and hear a lot of stories how mining is done and how they take care of the re-vegetation.If you are a budget traveler, do stop here! Free overnight stay also in front of the discovery center with toilets. ;)
