Great place to take your grandchildren!! Mine loved it so much they didn't want to go home! Animals all seemed very content..and we could even pat the kangaroos and others.

Used to be a great place unfortunately falling into disrepair a little. Still helpful and friendly staff.

Good place for young children and the staff were informative and friendly. The peel zoo app didn't work but the QR codes told you what animals were in the inclosure. The zoo promoted the Tasmanian Devil but very little merchandise which was a shame as my little girl wanted a toy one.

Great zoo with a good collection of Australian animals. There were plenty of birds as well as other classic Australian animals such as kangaroos, possums, quokkas and reptiles. When you first arrive at the Zoo and pay your entry fee, you are handed a sheet of paper which lists all the animals that you will see with a number next to them. All the cages will have a corresponding number which makes the path super easy to follow (and really helps you when your kid asks "what's that").The petting areas of the Zoo were really great, in particular the Kangaroo zone. I do suggest if you want to feed the sheep, goats, llamas, etc. then make sure that your children are okay with being jumped all over by large animals. My toddler found it a little overwhelming but the other kids seemed to be having a great time.Being able to walk in the large bird cages was fantastic, and the parrots were not shy when it came to landing on shoulders and saying hello.Overall a great zoo, although a little small... which suited our young boy fine as it only took about 2 hours to see everything.

Loved my first visit here! Very close up and personal with the animals. The zoo keeper was informative and friendly! Loved the walk through aviary. Kid friendly. Great experience for us! A must go! Loved the beautiful talking Macaw!
